End of term, end of an era
Three children, two schools, twenty-one years. And that's it (if I could add a "dusting off hands" emoji, I would!). From first days to final days; rollercoaster weeks and smooth sailing terms, it's certainly been a ride. They've loved it and hated it but mostly in between. And now it's over.
It's a very strange feeling! I'm going to have to find a new rhythm to my week and to the year, no longer governed by the school day, or dividing the year into three or six terms. One week on from the final A level I already feel a little unfettered from the days of the week.
We still have the youngest to get through university, but that's so hands-off, parental involvement feels minimal. Although, as my wise older sister said last week: "Small children, small problems. Big children, big problems". Oh yes.
Gifts for wonderful teachers
But just because I no longer need to buy teacher's gifts, it doesn't mean I'll stop making and selling them! Honestly, the teachers in my boys' schools have been incredible and they deserve every lovely present they're given.
There are lots of lovely presents to choose from here.
Have a lovely summer!
